We are very proud of our veterans and, in return, we would like to help them in their time of need. We will be contacting veteran organizations in the area to find members interested in receiving, training or working with an assistance dog. An assistance dog can aid with managing not only physical disabilities but mental disabilities as well. Depression, post tramatic stress disorder, and anxiety and panic attacks are among the few conditions that an assistance dog can help with through their emotional support. Helping our vets sustain their independence reduces the support needed from other resources. As a community we have an obligation to our vets to assist them in reentering life as a civilians.
